Security Policy

Securing your  content

We have put in place a range of physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and help prevent unauthorized access and maintain data security. This helps ensure that:

  • Only you have access to your projects and your resources.
  • Only you have access to your style guides; unless you choose to share them, putting you in total control.
  • Your documents are open and accessible to you as long as you are signed in to your account. As soon as you sign out, projects become inaccessible unless you have chosen to publish them.
  • Protect your password as this protects your data.

Backing up the system

We make periodic backups of project information to mitigate the damage that software or hardware failure might cause. All data is stored on its own server, which is also backed up, so that loss of data is minimized. Should hardware failure occur, data loss will be minimal because of the frequency of our backups.

Restoring project data

Everything you enter into a project will be saved as you type, automatically; no need to click save or anything. Every character added creates a new version of the project. You can access the history of your project by applying the History ‘slider’ feature inside  the writing editor. Premium subscription might apply to this feature.

Protecting your Account information

All your private details are protected by our secure database which is only accessible by you, and by our technical support staff. You should always keep your password private and not share it with anyone. More details can be found in our Privacy Policy.

Securing your Payment information

We do not store any credit card numbers or details on our server. All credit card transactions are processed by STRIPE and protected by their “military-grade software and servers” as well as providing a Secured Sockets Layer (SSL) with 256 bit encryption. More details are available on the STRIPE web-site.
