A cross-reference inserts a link to a particular object (i.e., image, heading, paragraph, list, quote, footnote) within your writing project to aid with explaining your writing. For example: (see page 6), (refer Figure 3), (see Findings, above), (see Table 3, below).

Tips 

  1. A x-ref link will be added in your text to indicate that you have made a cross-reference
  2. Hover over the embedded link to see what it is that you have created a cross-reference to
  3. The cross-reference style is located in the Style > References
